Job Description:

Xsigo Systems, an industry leader in I/O virtualization, has developed a revolutionary new approach to server I/O: the Xsigo I/O Director. This hardware and software solution is optimized from the ground up to dramatically accelerate and simplify routine data center management tasks. With the Xsigo I/O Director, IT managers provision I/O resources on-the-fly without disrupting network and storage configurations, and without physically entering the data center.

 

Xsigo is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering professional. This position will be responsible for providing manufacturing engineering support for data center virtualization products; driving new product introductions and helping to ensure the successful transition of products from development to volume manufacturing.

 

 

Responsibilities:

    • Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) for all new products. 
    • Manage the development of manufacturing processes for implementation by contract manufacturers and other suppliers
    • Assist in the failure analysis of product returns.
    • Drive product quality improvements
    • Drive product cost reductions through value engineering activities. 
    • Participate in supplier performance reviews and drive performance improvement initiatives
    • Ensure proper product documentation practices and ECO management within the Agile product data management environment.
    • Ensure proper product structure and configuration management to align with product marketing plans and manufacturing processes.

     

    Requirements:

      • NPI experience, manufacturing process development and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) experience for complex communications/networking products
      • Knowledge of Agile product data management system is required; knowledge of Oracle applications is preferred.
      • Thorough knowledge of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fabrication and technologies.
      • Expert knowledge of surface mount printed circuit board assembly processes.
      • Experience with CAD software (Allegro and Autocad) required.
      • Excellent analytical skills, project management skills and organizational skills.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Proactive and comfortable in a high pressure environment.
      • Strong work ethic with a willingness to "do what it takes" to succeed.
      • Detail oriented and well organized.
      • Minimum of 10 years experience in manufacturing engineering position.
      • BA/BS or equivalent.
