The IS24 Expansion Switch™ provides scalable, low-cost I/O virtualization connectivity for large server environments. Up to 23 additional servers may be connected to the Xsigo I/O Director through each IS24 Expansion Switch.

Flexible Deployment

To accommodate high bandwidth requirements, the Xsigo IS24 Expansion Switch may be connected to the Xsigo I/O Director through two or more InfiniBand links. The Expansion Switch provides automatic load balancing across the links to maximize bandwidth availability.

Easily Connect Up to 120 Servers

In a typical deployment, 120 servers may be connected to a single Xsigo I/O Director, with connectivity arranged as follows:

• 6 Xsigo IS24 Expansion Switches.
• 20 Servers connected to each Expansion Switch.
• 4 InfiniBand links from each switch to the Xsigo I/O Director (24 links total)
